Dr. Girija
Centre for Educational Development, Republic Polytechnic, Singapore
DR Girija has taught in the higher education sector for over 20 years. She joined Republic Polytechnic in 2004 after having spent over a decade in the university sector at the faculty of Dentistry of the prestigious National University of Singapore (NUS) and the SRM University, Chennai, in India. At RP, she served as the course manager for its Biomedical Sciences diploma and helmed the role of Deputy Director of the School of Applied Sciences before assuming the current role of Acting Director of the Centre for Education Development.
Girija's contribution to STEM education includes developing inquiry learning programmes in Science, integrating digitalisation tools into education to promote deep learning and creating competency standards for faculty development. She led the team in RP to develop multimedia digital content (eLearning) for a nationwide learning portal known as the PolyMall, a national platform for all polytechnics. Girija also serves in the joint polytechnic committee and chairs projects in the areas of Professional Development for Teaching and Learning and Education Techonology to enhance teaching and learning.
She is passionate and committed to the development of STEM educators to make a difference in students' life through authentic and deep learning approaches. Her passion is demonstrated by her desire to constantly improve herself through lifelong learning. This is evidenced by the string of qualifications she has attained. She holds a Master in Public Administration from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy of NUS, and is currently pursuing a programme leading to a Master of Training and Development from Griffith University, Australia. She is a dentist by training and an accomplished researcher. Her works have won awards at major international symposiums. She is also ACTA certified and holds a Diploma in Teaching English as another language.
Girija was a recipient of the outstanding facilitator award in Republic Polytechnic and is also an accomplished curriculum designer. She is certified as a specialist problem crafter in RP, an award given to less than 5% of candidates.
For her devotion to education and contributions to RP, Girija was conferred the National Day Award 2018 Public Administration Medal (Bronze).

Dr. Mas Nida Md. Khambari

Mas Nida Md. Khambari is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of
Foundations of Education, Faculty of Educational Studies. Her research
interests include the use and impact of technology specifically
interactive whiteboards and laptops in education, the Cultural
Historical Activity Theory, and emerging technology trends in education.
She received her PhD in 2014 in Curriculum and Instruction (Educational
Communications and Technology) from the University of
Wisconsin-Madison. She joined Universiti Putra Malaysia in August 2008
as a tutor in Educational Technology and was appointed as a Senior
Lecturer in July 2014.

Assoc. Prof. Yohandri, M.Si, Ph.D

instrumentation from State University of Padang, Indonesia, in 2001 and
M.Sc. degree also in physics from Bandung Institute of Technology,
Indonesia, in 2005. Ph.D degree from Graduate School of Advanced
Integration Science, Chiba University, Japan in 2012. In 2012, he was with the Center for Environmental Remote Sensing
(CEReS), Chiba University, as a research assistant, and from 2012 to
2013.
